• Support the initiative to make Hackney into a recognised ‘Borough of Sanctuary’, welcoming those fleeing violence and persecution in their own countries.
• Recognise the contribution of refugees and people seeking sanctuary to the London Borough of Hackney.
• Commit to take practical steps to welcome and include them in our activities and to actively seek ways of supporting them wherever we can.
• Agree for my name/our organisation’s name to be added to a list of supporters of Borough of Sanctuary.
• Agree to be contacted by the Hackney Borough of Sanctuary group with further ideas for how we can turn this pledge into practical action.
